My mind is blank, and I can't think of anything remotely suitable.

Irish soda bread. Or a bottle of Baileys

KTeePee · 12/03/2007 16:25

Taytos would go down well!

nailpolish · 12/03/2007 16:26

can of guiness

majorstress · 12/03/2007 16:26

We aren't allowed edibles, how about a relevant book (or printout from the internet) for teacher to read and some stickers? that goes down well with mine (well that's what they are getting anyway).

Ladymuck · 12/03/2007 16:34

Soda bread would work - or potato bread I guess. The teacher might enjoy guinness or baileys but I'm not sure that it would really go down that well . I'm not wasting Taytos on kids! I guess if I'm doing something sweet then fairy cakes it would be...

Majorstress, where are you getting your stickers from?

exbury · 13/03/2007 12:00

potato cakes (pancake-type ones). yum. portable, and fairly easy to make.

EddieMonsoon · 13/03/2007 13:59

Irish whiskey for the teacher

Iklboo · 13/03/2007 14:00

Colcannon?

aintnomountainhighenough · 13/03/2007 14:02

Chocolate and Guiness Cake (only has a small amount of Guiness in it!)

Ever since she was in reception my dd has always taken in a tin of shamrock shaped biscuits to share with her class. Most cake shops sell shamrock shaped cutters. Basic biscuit mixture (I've got a good one if you need it) iced if we have time, sprinkled with green edible glitter if we haven't.
