Any ideas for end of primary party? 30 children. Parents definitely dont want a prom (phew) & all agree to keep costs below £30 per family. Were shortlisting 3 ideas then letting kids vote on their favourite. Already have disco on the list. Anyone done anything a bit different?

Our school do a pizza party on the afternoon of the school disco. They order pizzas in from dominos, buy some icecream and pop. The PTA usually foots the pizza bill.

We used to take them ice-skating followed by burgers and chips.

Swimming party (school has outdoor pool) and water fight on school field followed by BBQ - children only with yr 6 staff and head, no parents/families.
There's usually a PTA run disco for the whole school too.

No luxury of a school pool sadly but water fight soynds fun! Its probably going to be in the evening, on the day school breaks up. With parents & possibly siblings but on the proviso that the leavers are the stars of the show. In the last week of school they put on a musical at night for their families and have a school trip so the party is the last thing in a week of activities.

We hired a hall that was central, with a garden. A disco that catered for children. Added in some games. Put a football in garden for boys who felt too awkward to dance. Parents brought allocated food. They loved it.

We had disco paid for by pta. Then they had nibbles pizza and chocolate fountain ... mock cocktails and a red carpet for photos done for year book. No siblings as it spoils the occasion for them. Teachers invited for the photos. Parents in different room with drinks and a bring and share food. Cost 15 to include decorations and year book.

Local Adventure playground, parents stood about and chatted, kids ran round, played football, or hung round the iPad to change the music. V successful. Hotdogs ( with halal and veggie option).

Same as Iwantacampervan

Our PTA provides a BBQ at the school after the last school disco. It's on a Thursday and they then go on their PGL on Friday morning. The PGL is always the last weekend before they break up in July so it gets very emotional.

We have a disco. It's organised by the PTA and all costs are fundraisers by parents so no child is left out. We have a DJ (free - always get a volunteer), chocolate fountain and huge spread of food (ask parents for food donations), we hire a photo booth (kids love that) and get an LED dance floor. It all depends on how much parents manage I fundraise!
