Does anyone's dc have this and do you think it is worth the money?

I am considering it for my 8.5 year old dd. She loves reading and is interested in history.

My MIL gives the subscription as a Christmas present to my DD who is this age. It is avidly devoured, eagerly waited for and re-read frequently. It leads to a lot of discussion in this household Smile

The price isn't an issue because of this. After all it is monthly, whereas most magazines aimed at children in supermarkets are usually £3 or £4 and seem to come out with alarming frequency.

DD is 8 and absolutely loves it. She loves non-fiction so it's perfect for her. Personally I would say it is a little worthy but dull, but then it's not aimed at me. We have had it for a year and she still eagerly awaits the next issue. I think you can try 3 months as a starter, maybe try that?

Yes, my 9 and 11 year olds have had it for a couple of years and still love it!
