How often do your DC's go on school trips?

Just wondering really. DS, year 2 has been on one, for a morning, within walking distance and he's been at the school since nursery.

Is this typical or do others do more? Thanks in advance for sharing.

1 each term; the visit with depend on the topic they are studying that term. They also have some external visitors. This is a state primary school.
