Best girls prep schools in Kensington and Chelsea these days?

Falkner House, Garden House and Glendower are often touted as the 3 best schools for girls. I know things change, schools improve or worsen, new Heads come in and make changes for better or worse.

I hear Glendower has terrible staff turnover and is unable to hold on to good teachers; has gone down hill since expanding the school to 2 classes and is no longer a hot house but a good choice for all rounders who don't necessarily want an academic prep school. True or false?

Faulkner House supposingly remains excellent but impossible to get into.

Garden House seems to have retained the same reputation it's always had. Well deserved or not quite true?

I would love to hear from parents with children currently at these schools or have insider knowledge of the schools from other sources. Are there also other schools we should be considering? Thank you.

Artandco, I think the point was that it's too late to sign up assuming her daughter is already 3. I would also add a 4th school to the mix, just in case, if only to avoid being so stressed about the assessments. It depends on your daughter, if she is clearly very advanced maybe it's all going to be fine, but I know parents who get very stressed along the way and wish they had signed up to one or two more schools...

Artandco - it depends. I think it would work best if all schools in the area are non selective - then all end up with a mix of abilities.

Otherwise - like it is here, on our little island of Kensington & Chelsea, some schools are considered more "academic", so more advanced kids go there. The others end up in the other, non selective schools. Often parents of bright kids in those non-selective kids get very stressed about the school not challenging their kids enough because the distribution of abilities is quite wide.

As you all seem to know your stuff could you please tell me whether you would choose FH SW1 over Queens College for 4 year old?
