Year 2 - resources website recommendations ?

Hi
Looking for recommendations which either as a parent or a teacher you find useful for key stage 1, Year 2. I'm happy if it's free but also do not mind paying for a useful one, or app.
Just looking for suggestions so I've somewhere to go which will hopefully be supportive as I'm trying to help with homework, learning rather than just my own old knowledge !
Thanks

And this is a very useful one, covers different Yr groups and most subjects:

www.resources.woodlands-junior.kent.sch.uk/maths/index.html

Oh! I see I've done the maths area, but you can get the home page from there I expect.

Ferguson · 24/02/2015 22:45

Sorry - there is a problem with that one. Try this version:

www.woodlands-junior.kent.sch.uk/page/default.asp?title=Woodlands%20Junior%20School&pid=1

Woodlands - then click on Woodlands Resources, and you should get all the subjects to choose from.

BeaLola:

Agree with Ferguson - Woodlands Resources is a brilliant starting point. resources.woodlands-junior.kent.sch.uk/ & their maths zone is fantastic.

I'd just add BBC Bitesize KS1 (which is designed to prepare Year 2 pupils for KS1 SATs - and has difficulty levels - Medium/ Hard/ Really Hard - so you can control it a bit): www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/ks1/

Crickweb has some useful things - often also linked through from Woodlands: www.crickweb.co.uk/Key-Stage-1.html

For helping with homework projects, the best I've found is the online junior Encyclopaedia Britannica - we get free access at home via our library's website, using our library card.

BBC and Woodlands are good for maths and some topics, but not so good for the 'find out five facts about...' type of homework.
