We're due to get our first letter through on Thursday but hold out little hope so starting a thread for mutual commiseration (congratulation for the lucky ones), advice on breaking bad news and comparing notes about waiting lists although not sure we'll even be lucky enough to get to that stage.

I have thought about little else for the last two weeks and feel more nervous than I did before getting my own A level results.

Come reassure me that not getting the school you want at 7 isn't the end of the world!

Congrates kcw23.. It's a yes for us as well.

shoutymcshoutsmum · 29/01/2015 16:25

Congratulations amyfowler.

wandymum · 29/01/2015 16:29

Well done AmyFowler. None of the boys from DS' school got offers including two with siblings already at KCJS whose mothers are convinced the standard was crazily high this year so hugely well done to those who got in.

Hi everyone. Did the Colet Court results arrive today? Any good news for anyone? Does anyone know when the WUS results arrive? Thanks

kcw23 · 30/01/2015 12:30

Both are expected to arrive tomorrow.

shoutymcshoutsmum · 30/01/2015 12:55

Thanks kcw23. Does WUS also have the Thursday deadline for acceptances?

kcw23 · 30/01/2015 14:11

All 3 are thursday...makes it SO simple Smile

shoutymcshoutsmum · 30/01/2015 14:53

It does - thanks kcw23.

shoutymcshoutsmum · 31/01/2015 06:53

Good luck to everyone who is waiting for the post this morning. I hope you all get the schools you wanted for your amazing sons.

amyfowler · 31/01/2015 11:06

Good luck to everyone waiting for post today. Hope it's a good news for everyone waiting..

"What envelope size is a yes?"

A4 and fairly thick, as it would typically include offer letter, hard copy of current contract, acceptance form, other useful joiners info.

Both wait list offers and no thank you letters come in ordinary business size envelopes containing a single sheet.

louisejxxx · 31/01/2015 11:17

Any news for anybody?

kcw23 · 31/01/2015 13:24

We are in from both wus and cc. Now its decision time, between kcs, cc and wus.......tic toc tic toc..time started ticking.

shoutymcshoutsmum · 31/01/2015 13:49

Kcw23 - wow, that's really amazing. My friend is having same dilemma but he only applied to KCS and CC. Nice position to have.

sillydad01 · 31/01/2015 15:14

We were also waiting to hear back from WUS this weekend and have not received anything from them. I wonder if that means bad news. Would they differentiate the mail class among yes and no envelopes?

kcw23 · 31/01/2015 15:37

Its a normal small envelop from wus. Not flashy one unlike other school

kcw23 · 31/01/2015 15:38

Sillydad..that must be the post..may be you will get it on monday? Good luck.

firsttimer08 · 31/01/2015 15:40

Congrats kcw and well done to your boy. He must be v pleased! Which one are you leaning towards? I thought WUS was the most prized spot as they have fewer spots?

kcw23 · 31/01/2015 19:03

Thanks firsttimer and shouty. Yes DS is happy. I think they all are equally good so its definitely going to be a difficult one.

TennisMom · 03/02/2015 11:52

Good luck everyone. For those who will choose Westminster Under, your boys will certainly be challenged and stimulated there.

kcw23 · 03/02/2015 12:20

Thanks TennisMom - thats reassuring. We have gone for wus over cc and kcs.

shoutymcshoutsmum · 03/02/2015 12:22

Thanks kcw23. Silydad01 has turned down kcjs for cc so perhaps there's hope for my DS on the reserve list yet!

kcw23 · 03/02/2015 12:25

Good luck shouty. I am sure your DS will get in. Did you manage to speak to school re where is your DS on the waiting list..top x etc?

shoutymcshoutsmum · 03/02/2015 12:26

The school just said that the headmaster picks the boys on Thursday when he knows how many places there are still left to fill!
