Toe to Toe / Word wasp

My DD's English teacher has recommended Toe to Toe / Word Wasp to help DD (age 9) with her spelling. Has anybody used them and what do you think of them? We would be doing it at home, because DD goes to a bilingual school with limited class time in English, so she wouldn't be able to do the programme every day with her teacher (but we have a very good relationship, so we will be liaising closely).
Thanks in advance

It took us about 10/15 minutes a day, using Word Wasp (more some days if there was messing around).
Its ideal for parent, or unpaid intervention; secondaries sometimes use it using sixth formers. It does need to be 1 to 1, so is less suitable for teachers. But then I doubt a lot of the teacher based interventions really work, because there is not enough time, staff or money to really personalise to individual needs. (My DS had a lot of interventions that weren't really designed for him, but were "What was on offer".)
