Ha! That sounds familiar! DD - 'a pleasure to teach', 'popular with everyone' 'so enthusiastic and hard-working'.

DS#1 - 'needs to make more effort'......

BTW Congratulations!

My DS friend went in today and my Ds is on Thursday , well his mum showed me the sheet she got given and the things he had to improve on , Well god help him and me on Thursday the only things he does do are practice spelling (I make sure its done ) and reading (again 20 mins every night ) The not chatting in class,he is always doing it .and all the other things . I am dreading it now LOL . I mean the chatting thing I and the teacher have tried all sorts . I can imagine how annoying this is in a class of 32. I have tried bribary ,threats and one day I even wrote on his hand DONT CHAT to try and remind him LOL . Any ideas greatfully recieved . Well done to your daughter Ellie . You must be so proud.

No offense - but I think that is a bit of a cop out think to say. Surley your dd must be able to improve something or she wouldn't need to go to school.

But well done her for being bright and enthusastic!and good at hockey! She soounds delightful!

What a lovely thing to hear!

ElleMacpherson · 11/10/2006 10:46

cazzybabs, I will tell the teahcer that it is a cop out.!!

She is working above the class level, set extention work which she is completing well, is happy smiling helopful. enjoys school.

That is her.

At present all the teachig is asking for is that she continues to work in this way.

cazzybabs · 11/10/2006 19:21

I didn't mean it in a nasty way. Your daughter sounds fab - well in an a "good at everything" and nice too irrating kind of way !!!

Your poor sons - do they get on???

ElleMacpherson · 12/10/2006 09:53

cazzy my boys are great. But they are very different. They a very typical bright kids who rush their work, piss around, avoid work if they can.

DD is very different, perhaps because she is a girl (who knows) she is very conscientious.

The boys adore their sister. There is never a fight between dd an any of her brothers - i think the boys don't feel any competition like perhaps they do between themselves!

They sound like me (with the exeption of the bright bit!) and most of the boys I teach!

It is so nice they get on!

Did you treat your daughter for being so damn good?
