Drink bottles. Are they allowed on your children's tables?

Hi, my daughter has a real issue with drinking and there seems to be times when the children are allowed a drink. Their bottles are kept on a table at the back of the class room. Is this normal in all primary schools?
It would be so much easier if my daughter had her bottle on her table to just grab a sip when ever she wanted without having to wait for the proper time.
Just wondered if this was normal practice. If not, I'm going to speak to the head.
Thanks

I would encourage you to speak to the class teacher and not the HT initially. In most schools, in such a situation, the HT will ask you if you have spoken to the teacher first anyway.

Ah - seen full time 1:1 Well, in that case, they are the best person to speak too as they can remind her frequently.

If your dd has a full time 1:1 can't you just write her a note in your home school book or ask her to keep on top of it? That seems like the most logical thing to do & is probably what the head or class teacher would advise. Unless I've missed something really obvious.

I do keep asking her one to one, but she's still coming home everyday either with a full bottle or with about 1/4 of it gone. Her one to one says that she does send her to drink, but she either just pretends or sips very little.

I thought the head rather than the teacher as it was a school policy, rather than a rule he made or could change on his own.

I think put it in writing, explaining again why this is a necessity. Ask, in writing, for a follow-up phone call. That's what I would do anyway.

Thank you MiaowTheCat. That sounds like a great idea. I'll give it a go. Smile
