Private girls schools in Wimbledon/Kingston

Our son will be going to the Rowans in Wimbledon aged 3. For reception he will either stay there (probably) or go to squirrels, a local state or possible Rokeby, as that is also close. Where should we think of registering our baby girl? Should we just go for rowans or are there girls schools that are especially good/go all the way through from 4-11 that we should think of? The secondary plan is selective private secondaries such as kings, kgs, leh etc. (Depending on how they get on obviously). Thanks.

The Study in Wimbledon is a girls prep and leavers tend to go to a good selection of academically selective senior schools. Wimbledon High goes from 4-18...and is academically selective from Reception.
Surbiton High is closest to kingston or there is St Catherine's in Twickenham for girls .....neither particularly academic but pretty popular.

Don't think you have to register at birth for any except the Study.

Thank you. If we went for the Rowans at 4, are there option for entry at 7 or is it easier to go at 4? Do Wimbledon and surbiton have junior schools?

Why don't you look at the schools' websites or contact the admissions officers for the information you need? A number of schools are also having Open Days in the near future...it would be worth going along to these to get you own 'feel' for the schools and see which you prefer.

Yes I will do that thanks. Just looking for recommendation from those who've been there before.

If your son ends up at Rokeby, then Holy Cross is the obvious match for your DD as the two are neighbouring schools.

If Squirrels/Kings, then WHS.

Rowans from what I gather is very boy heavy. Your DD may be the only girl in her class, so much depends on how you feel about this.

Also look at Ursulines, they seem to be doing very well.

Thank you, I've never even heard of Holy Cross before. It looks good. Lots of decisions now!

It was the Times' 'school of the year' a couple of years ago - they must be doing something right!

I've heard it's quite religious though (Catholic).
