School Shoes / Boots with Velcro

Hi All, I'm hoping that some of you can help me. I'm based near Heathrow and am looking for black or navy boots that are Velcro in a size 13 Jnr, that don't cost the earth and last more than a few weeks. DS who is only 4.5 years, needs ankles supported by boots for his Haemophilia yet they can't be too stiff as they'll cause more problems. He also has ADHD and ODD, so is constantly on the go and tends to wear out the front toes and along the sides. Due to age and ADHD he's no where near even starting to learn about laces and basically the school would prefer (along with me due to trip hazard and his haemophilia) not to have laces. Any ideas? Many thanks

I don't know if there's one near Heathrow, but we got ds's from Wyndsors World of Shoes. They are Kickers ones and really sturdy. they also have a rubber toe cap bit so I'm hoping they will last a while as won't scuff etc. they were £30 (for a size 9)

Check with Ricosta, the brand produces very soft shoes, DD virtually lives in them as Clarks and start rite give her blisters and she also bled from the metal nubs.

Maybe walking boots would be your best bet? I googled for these on Amazon.

There is a Decathlon in Reading that probably has a variety. These look nice if the elastic would give enough support.

Or Hummel do some Velcro high tops. We've had several pairs of Hummel kids shoes and they wear pretty well. They sell Hummel in the shoe shop in Windsor next door to Waitrose.

DD has an orthotic insert in one shoe and we have to use kickers kick hi shoes with her for proper support on that side. She lives in hers and they they seem to last her very well (she is also 4.5yrs) - each time we have only replaced them because her feet have grown - Currently size 11. I find them great shoes and have just got her a pair for starting school and another for using at home too.
