Have heard of other parks with rides with not so many people. Have dd5 and ds3. Please share your ideas. Thanks

Paulton's Park has Peppa Pig!!

But Drayton Manor has Thomas The Tank Engine!!

Take your pick!

Small, but greatly enjoyed, funfare at Hastings...

Also Southend (and Hastings...) has a "sealife centre": My daughter when she was five, was interested in the sharks...

Chessington World of Adventures is an excellent big park (tho' try to get in on a special offer) but is really an alternative to Legoland and so does attract crowds.

MumTryingHerBest · 06/08/2014 09:58

Gullivers Land but depends on where you are located:

I second Chessington. Lots more for little people.

It can get busy though but worth it.

Pleasurewood Hills is good but again, depends on where you're located.

We thoroughly enjoyed Flamingoland (Yorkshire). Little ones (3 & 6) got on rides with no/few minutes queuing; big kids (teenagers+) had to queue for about 1- 1.5 hours for the big roller coaster rides. Little rides were great and all kids loved it. Bonus of having an (uncrowded) zoo park there so we wandered round there to let lunch go down. And catering on site was very reasonable (£58 for 4 adults and 3 kids carvery dinner main course only exc drinks).

I was going to say Southend, Adventureland. We have been going there since the DCs were little as my mum and dad live nearby.

NewtRipley · 06/08/2014 18:19

Sorry Adventure Island

tobysmum77 · 07/08/2014 07:43

Twinlakes no queues, waterpark and some good rides. Some look like they came from the ark but the children don't mind ime.

Paultons Park was ok at Easter apart from the peppa pig bit. Drayton manor/ Thomas land is hellish in the summer but ok in spring/autumn.

MegBusset · 07/08/2014 07:47

Paultons Park. We've been in the holidays and it's fine if you're smart with what you do - go to Peppa Pig bit first before the queues build up, then head to the rest of the park and do the other rides, heading back to PPW around 3pm when the toddlers start to head home.

i second twin lakes for a 3 year old a 5 five year old if you're not too far away (its in melton mowbray near leicestershire), probably not worth travelling miles as they'd probably be something similar nearer. Its also got good indoor sections in case of rain.

orangepudding · 07/08/2014 09:45

Gullivers land, we have been to the Milton Keynes one and the queues are short.

TeenAndTween · 07/08/2014 11:46

Agree with others - Paultons Park near Southampton - loads for that age group.

CombineBananaFister · 11/08/2014 17:55

Sundown adventureland? It's specifically for the under 10s and has lots of play areas too.
