End of year presents. Home made cakes, ( made by me, not kids!), wine or goodie bag of bubble bath, chocs, candle and small bottle of wine?
Thanks.

One of the most well-received 'staff-room gifts' one year was a couple of punnets of strawberries ... much appreciated by teachers/TAs desperately trying to hone their bikini-bodies for the summer hols! Whilst very grateful for any thank-yous, there can be a surfeit of cakes & chocs.. (not wine though!

So, a punnet of soft fruit, some cream and a bottle of wine?

That sounds lovely, DrSeuss.

If you want to "put something in the staffroom" as a thank you to all staff - people who make the school work well, including people like the PPA teacher who goes into every class for 1/2 a day, and the Receptionist and the HT and the SENCo,TAs who are shared between classes, etc.,etc, then do something that is easily "pick-up-able" on the go - so small cakes, biscuits, chocs, or yes, strawberries that people can just pick one up as they wizz past - the cream doesn't really help Smile
If it's specifically for one teacher, then a bottle of wine is a fine gift - it's the sort of thing that is easily pass on able if you actually don't drink, but is pretty generic so most people will like it. No good for sharing though, for obvious reasons.
