What are the schools in Sutton and Wallington like for girls?

Assuming state, Primary schools are all mixed. Secondaries are either single sex (mostly the grammars) or mixed (mostly the comprehensives). All are pretty good really. There's a school place shortage, which has already hit the primaries and is just beginning to affect secondaries.

Anything in particular you wanted to know?

I was thinking how good the primary schools and the secondary school are as it's a possiblity we could be moving into either area. Do you live in either Wallington or Sutton?

The good primaries in Sutton and Wallington (in order) are Westbourne at the top, then Cuddington Croft, then Avenue, then St Elphege's Catholic, then St Cecelia's Catholic, then Cheam Park Farm. With Secondaries, Nonsuch is best, then Wallington Girls. It is a lot easier to gain entry living in the priority areas (5.25km from Nonsuch, 6.7km from Wallington Girls, 6km from the Crossroads by St Philomena's). The comps are okay but obviously nothing on the grammars.

mumoftwo100 - am interested in the list of primaries you've given above, where is it from please?

2nd the living in priority areas for the grammars - at least one of them has just announced that they are expanding by 15 places per year, and these places will be given to local kids who pass the entrance exam. As superselectives, they have a pretty huge catchment as a rule.
