Entertainment for a Y6 end of year picnic - budget £100

We're planning an end of year picnic for the Y6 families. We have £100 left over from a previous fundraiser and I am wondering if anyone has any good ideas what we could do with it to do something for the children. There will be around 20-30 kids in total. We'll have rounders, badminton and various other games sets there but just want something else too. I've investigated inflatable assault courses but they're a bit £££ so have given up on that idea. Someone's suggested an ice cream van but just wondered if anyone else has any other brainwaves or past successes! TIA.

Bouncy slides always go down well round here. Don't know the cost though.

Thanks. All inflatable options explored and they're either too £££ or fully booked.

Dunking the headmaster always goes down well at my DC's school!

Children's entertainers? They usually come with their own equipment and most do a mix of songs and games. If this is for during the school day they may appreciate a booking?

Thanks all. It's a families only picnic i.e. out of school time and no teachers etc there. They have a water gun fight traditionally on the last day of school so am steering clear of those. Think they're all a bit old for a children's entertainer now being Y6.

Have you got enough performing kids to put on a Stars in Their Eyes/X Factor type routine? Our kids used to mime to the music, but it was great fun to see them dress up as their favourite groups/singers and imitate all their dance moves and most people enjoyed watching. We used to sell ice cream and sweeties during the performance. Cheap to put on.

Out of the box suggestion- ferret racing! We looked into it for our wedding in Cornwall and there was a local chap who turned up with the ferrets and long pipes. Spectators are invited to hold the ferrets and start the races, the chap gives a running commentary and everyone cheers and gets competitive. You could even use a school whiteboard as a score board and have a medal for the winners. I think that would be different and interesting to yr 6s and parents alike

I think the ice cream van, with everyone getting their choice of lolly/ice cream would go down well.

Ferrets sound fun.
Or your local wildlife trust might be able to put you in touch woth someone who would bring along birds of prey/owls for a demonstration and because it's school linked they may not charge you more than petrol.

Love the sound of ferret training. Thank you for suggestions.
