Allergies in schools

Hi Supermums! I am looking at moving to the Suffolk area with my 5 year old son (6 in August). He is a gentle and bright child, but suffers from a raft of environmental and food related allergies. The big one being anaphylaxis to all nuts. Can anyone recommend a good Primary School that has experience of allergies and dealt with them well? Any advice would be great!

Suffolk is a big and diverse county, can you narrow down an area more? Do you want a rural village school, a small town school or large city school?

Get a letter from your gp or allergist detailing his allergies and the severity. Then take it with you to any schools you visit and discuss their allergy policy. You will need to decide if they are capable of feeding him. currently my dd can only eat once a weeks as the school can't cope!

Don't you have a care plan? All the children at our school with severe allergies have care plans, as do children who have other medical conditions.
