Advice on some primary schools in South West London

Hi everyone, we are looking for good primary schools near good transport/not completely in the sticks in the boroughs of Merton, Wandsworth, Kingston and Sutton.
House prices are rocketing up so we don't have time to book open days with all the primaries we think might be options. We've read through Ofsted reports, league tables and various stats, and I can't find a consistent set of stats anyway surprisingly. Sometimes a school ranks 1st in the borough and sometimes 10th!
Ideally we want somewhere that is friendly, welcoming, has a good mix of children, but quite importantly, if you're bright, you are able to be challenged, and if not so academically minded, the teachers care enough to get you to your full potential.
Some general themes are emerging ....
Bishop Gilpin, Dundonald and Brandlehow seem to be very good indeed. I don't think we can actually get into these, so I am just using them as a benchmark.
We've ruled out various schools like St Luke's (Kingston) and St Michaels (Southfields) as difficult to get into as places go on religious/siblings grounds. We're not planning to attend the local church as we are atheists.
Our shortlist is looking something like:
Singlegate - surprising for me, the % of high achievers only a little above national average. Love the fact that it is near the tube so the morning drop off would be a breeze
Garfield
Poplar
Merton Park
Hillcross - don't think this would be as good as Singlegate say
Burlington
St Dunstans - we know Cheam/Sutton is supposed to be good for schools but these never seem to be near good transport links
Holy Trinity
All Saints
I've seen mixed stats for Pelham so not sure about that one?
We are not planning to move to Tooting as yet but is there anything great there that we should consider? St Boniface RC comes up for example ..
Also there seem to be a number of good ones in Southfields, but I am less familiar with the area.
Also we can't afford £1 million pounds houses so that does rule out a fair few areas.
Any thoughts/advice welcome, especially on how to read between the lines and find a great school. Are there any I've missed?

Swaffield? Allfarthing? There must be some

A couple of others I forgot to put down:
Wimbledon Chase - sounds tricky for us to get into as well
West Wimbledon
By the way, what is the story with Hollymount? The results seem very good, yet the Ofsted report is 'Requires Improvement'. I don't understand the dichotomy ..

We live in Merton. If you're talking about getting a reception place, you'll need to live very close to these schools. For one form entry schools, you'll need to live within 200m. Wimbledon property is very expensive, but houses around Poplar and Garfield School are a bit cheaper (still 500K though).

Merton's website does a list of schools with places if you're looking at entry in other years.
