Homework for reception class

Hi mums, my dd is in reception class.. Her teacher has not sent any homework yet... Is it interesting? I plan to to with him.. What do you think? Should I talk with class teacher?

My DDs both had homework from Autumn half term onwards in Reception. We did it, they coped, but the evidence shows that homework in primary has no positive effect on learning outcomes and I'd have been happier without. Be glad that your DS's school has some sense, and I don't doubt that he will start bringing reading books home soon.

DS got homework today. Arrange sentences in the right order (6 words and full stop)

Tally chart of 3D objects he's found around the house.

2 reading books and his key words.

No homework here, just reading except in the holidays they send home a sheet asking what they did in the hols, to be filled up with pictures/ writing or whatever a child is able to do.
