Hello
First post ever...be gentle ladies! With KS1 sats fast approaching is anyone doing extra work with their children? If so from what source? Honest answers only please. I have noticed some mums at school doing extra stuff but not sharing...none of that thank you very much!

6yos being tutored for KS1 SATs? Shock
I don't know whether to be freaked out or just very :(.

Both I think lljkk GCSEs I totally understand but the whole point of the KS1 SATs would be to see the level the child is working at etc so tutoring just gives false information unless that tutoring is continued throughout their school life.

I never bothered with the boys but I am cross that dd is not making good progress.she is top table so they must all be around the same level

it is important for ks2. our school only pushes the top and bottom groups to achieve

Being on the top table would not make a group of children necessarily the same level as the year group before. In DSs class the 2nd table was pretty much the same level as the top group the year before. Both top and 2nd tables were all working at 2a/3c or higher.

If she is on the top table then it will be fine surely?
