Can anyone recommend a good primary school in Warwick or surrounding area please? State not private. One child that is middle of the road, other with SEN. Thanks

depends on where you live. I believe Coten End to be good - it is always oversubscribed but currently expanding ++++ that said it is currently a 2 form year but moving to 3 (ie 90 children) - would you be looking for a smaller school year?

Where we live is still open to negotiation! The move won't be until nearer the summer and we are leaving a huge primary school, but Coten End does look nice, but I wonder what the chances of getting two places are - probably very low!

Most/all the Warwick schools are really good. It might depend on the ages of your kids for getting a place at Coten End - have you spoken to the head or admissions to get an idea of available spaces? Emscote Infants is also very good but is only an infant school.
How's the house hunting going?

Coten End is expanding so might not be too bad - seem to take several in year transfer, Emscote and All Saints also very good - but if you go to live on the new (not that new - been ongoing 10 years+) development you will need to look other side of town

Almost all the schools in Warwick are good or outstanding according to ofsted. What are your children's interests? Some have a lot more outdoor space than others so may be more suited to active / sporty children.
Coten End has gone up to 3 form intake now so lots of building work for the next couple of years, but should still have lots of outdoor space and backs onto big park and leisure centre. Emscote infants is now a 2 1/2 form intake and has lost some if its fairly limited outdoor space but is outstanding. It feeds into All Saints at junior level which I think gets a Good and has large playing fields.
Woodloes is in a new building and lots of outdoor space but struggles with its reputation and is the lowest scoring by ofsted in the town I believe. It also has the local special needs school on the same site. I'm assuming the SEN you mention are catered for in mainstream as you don't ask for specialist schools but thought worth mentioning just in case that was a possibility for you.
Westgate in the centre of the town has also struggled on reputation but recently had a Good Ofsted with I think outstanding for early years. It's a very small school with one firm intake and usually less than 30 so probably has spaces and may suit some children more for the small sizes. It is very limited on outdoor space due to its location right in the centre.
At the other end of town is Newburgh which has improved a lot in recent years and I think us now well thought of. I know quite a few people with children there who are happy with it.
Slightly outside but still taking children from within the town is Budbrooke. Another at least Good, can't remember if went to outstanding recently but in any case has a good reputation and again I think plenty of outdoor space.
Think I've covered all the town ones! There are more small village ones outside depending on where you're looking.
Hope that's some help not too much info!
