I feel so embarrassed... I actually felt my voice breaking when saying goodbye to dd's reception teacher today...

... do you think I can still blame post-natal hormones?

She is so lovely though and I wish dd could have her forever...

She gave every child in the class a personal goodbye card today, with a handwritten message from her and the two assistant teachers.

i felt so sad today when dd1 said goodbye to her teacher. and ehr teacher was clutching a handful of tissues and had red eyes and a slightly red nose.

ok she may have had hayfever, bt i think she was upset.

Oh, me too! DS2s teacher was lovely, my age and so normal. His teacher next year is about 12 and the width of a matchstick I really really hope BabyDragon gets her in reception. It's unlikely though as they rotate them through the year groups every 3 years

I cried. - had to leave quickly so the other mums didn't see me!!!!

I did too! Very sad. Ds only started there at Easter and she's been really lovely. She's also leaving so I wished we well in her new job. But I did feel silly when I could only just keep a check on my emotions - hope she didn't notice or she'll think I'm a right wally.

I also had to hold it together for dd, because I don't want her to be sad about not having this teacher anymore. The thing is one third of her class will have this teacher next year, and I just so so wish that dd had got into her class, but she didn't!

I didn't cry over dd1 but did over dd2 leaving playschool.I work in a special school with post 16 group and loads of people were crying over our leavers (6/ class of 10) as some had been there 16 years !

DS2 was fine when I told him to go and say goodbye to his teacher. About 10 minutes later after we'd collected DS1, said bye to his teacher (who's leaving) and collected a few last things from DS1s class, DS2 came up crying and said he didn't want to leave MsBs class I nearly lost it big time then - luckily I had my sunglasses on

I took a bunch of flowers to dd's teacher and teaching assistant yesterday for her last day of term (dd is moving to a new school) gave the flowers to dd to hand over and say goodbye and both the teachers started to well up, saying how much they will miss dd and how sad it is she won't be there next year. DD just kind of shrugged (probably embarassed) and walked off.

This is all of course because dd is an angel at school (always polite and helpful) then takes it out on me at home .
