Does your child's school use Education City?

Just wondering if it works well for you, in terms of teachers providing regular feedback on how your child is doing? I guess it is early days in the term for me to notice..

Yes! It's excellent as a teaching aid and for children to just use on their own!

Thanks louby44, does your school use it as a way of feeding back to parents?

We use it but I hate it. Our school does not use it to feedback to parents.
Its on the calendar over school holidays to complete various tasks and the children use it during the day at school if their teacher is not going to be in class for some reason. Other than this its not used.
Usually I have to highlight any problems my children had when on Education City rather than the teacher advising us where the children went wrong.

Ds2 (Y1) is often given maths homework on it and loves it. I'm a fan too - very good way of interesting him in practicing mental arithmetic.

We don't get fed back to about education city specifically, but obviously get feedback on his progress in maths as a whole.

DD's school provide a login for all children. She uses it at home occasionally, and I have no idea how/if it's used at school.

It's never used for setting homework or providing feedback to parents, but they only started providing the subscription part way through last year.

My son's school only started it a few weeks ago.. I am wondering if it is just used by the teachers to check if/how much work children are doing at home; but I thought it was for parents to check how the child is progressing in school.

Each child has their own log in and staff can see how they have done on various activities but it's not fed back to parents.

Much more important to discuss general progress than specifically progress on Education City!

My son uses it. It is excellent. He has Homework on it every other week. As a parent, I can look at the progress tracker or whatever it is called and see how he is doing. We have had parent information eves on it.

We are very lucky to have it I feel as I believe it is a pricey package compared to others.

If they complete the tests on there, it will also give you the NC level your child is working at. Very useful.
