Hello everyone! We're currently looking for somewhere to live in Ealing/Hanwell/Acton/Northfields/Chiswick/Brentford and wondered what people thought of the state schools in the area? Our son is 14 months old so won't be going to school for a couple of years but we're keeping schools in mind when looking for somewhere to live. Basically, are there any schools that we should absolutely avoid!? Thanks!

Well i live in hounslow and can tell you that everyone in chiswick is after belmont primary but has a small catchment and is always at the top of the tables in chiswick. I think most of the schools in chiswick are good but never checked the schools out and dont know whats important to you so you best go have a look and decide. I know ealing have some good schools heard little ealing primary is good but you should havr a look and i think brentford is good if your church of england etc because faith schools are good round their blue school is very good one of the best in the country but state some are good and bad. Dont kbow about other areas that you have mentioned but belmont is highly regarded and would move near the school if i had a choice and their was a house available

Montpelier in Ealing is a great primary school. I believe it was awarded Outstanding in the last Ofsted report. Pupils tend to go on to independent secondary schools, or Oustanding Schools such as Twyford C of E.

Within the same area is North Ealing primary. Good but not Outstanding.
