applying private primary for 2014 in NW8 - need advice

Hello, dd1, 3.5 years, is now in nursery in a v.good state school in London (and guaranteed a reception place there) but just in case we decide to go private next year I am going to have her sit a few assessments. Need advice for NW8 postcode. (Maybe I'm also just curious to see where she would get in...) We have already missed application deadline for assessment for South Hampstead. She is on waiting list for St. Christina's. Will apply for assessment at NLCS (deadline is Nov). Other ideas? Channing? Highgate School? I like the idea of all girls school, but not 100% necessary. She is very very bright according to her teachers at current and previous nurseries, quirky, competitive, seems to have a real passion for painting, singing & dancing, also very into science experiments, building 'machines' etc. Very confident but not sure if she necessarily fits in easily with other girls her age. She often seeks out older children. Thanks in advance for any guidance!

How are you guaranteed a place in the state school? Distance?
Highgate, you will have missed the deadline if you are eligible for reception 2014 (next intake will be 7). Channing meant to be v good. Go for a few tours. Maybe consider a pre prep to 7 if you sure u want private.

There are loads of threads on this. Put "4+" into the search box or look for threads where mumteacher has contributed. St Margaret's in Kidderpore Avenue is nice, very small with class sizes of 12-15.
