In terms of quality and value. Need to buy DDs soon and don't want to buy cheap if it's gonna look a bag o' shite within a few weeks....any recommendations for top uniform pls.

OK Thanks PeachyClair - I'll try those two first.

M&S everytime. have just stocked ds up for next year in their three for two offer. He had everything from there last year and it still looks fab and he goes in clean new uniform every day so it's been washed loads. The trousers are non iron and look great whether they go on the line, airer or tumble. He hasn't managed to get any holes in them (he falls over quite a bit) and verything like glue/paint has washed straight out. Would recommend to anyone.

Mothercare trousers have worn well, Sainsbury's trousers looked worn quickly, though. There's another thread on MN about which girls' tights last best. I remember Pex was a favourite, a friend recommends Children's Wearhouse, too, for tights.

I like to try and keep dd1's school stuff for dd2 and the only ones that it is remotely possible with is M&S. All the rest go bobbly, out of shape, lose colour, holes etc etc. And anyway if you go to M&S at the right time they are not much more expensive that Asda/Tescos.

PeachyClair - THANK YOU - Adams are the answer!

My dd is starting school in September and I've bought most of her uniform in Asda. My sister has always said (with her dd) that it washes and wears really well. Well, heres hoping anyway LOL
