We went to a new parents evening last night. I met dd's class teacher. Dd had met her already as part of a nursery visit, and found out she will be in the same class as her special friend. Also the girls she says won't play with her are in the other class.

I have the uniform list (eek) and the 4 week menu. This stressed dd's friend's mum out no end, how on earth to chose the menu for 4 weeks and get it right. i too am worried that I don't know whether dd will fancy a roast chicken dinner, or corned beef salad, and do I tick the fruit and yighurt for pudding, or let her have tracle tart and custard.

There is also a home school agreement for us all to sign and apparently I have to ensure she has a tetanus jab.

Dh says I will know the contecnts of this pack off byheart by September if I keep on reading it so much.

Can't beleive my little girl is starting school.

Its really good you get a menu! When my eldest started school I found that was the most upsetting bit, that I didnt choose his lunch any more.
Our primary school had choices but the children chose on the day. I used to ask what they had eaten and I would get 'something brown' !!!!!

I think I would prefer it if dd could chose on the day!!!!!!

The menu choice is quite limited though, it is basically the hot meal of the day, the vegetarian verson of the hot meal, sandwiches or a salad.
