Be warned that if you are renting purely to get a place at this school it may not work. Richmond Council will almost certainly be aware of the flats commonly used by people trying to get places at this school and will view any application from one of them with suspicion. Even if you do get a place it can be taken away even after your child has started school if the LA finds that you have made a false application.

If you are intending to live there permanently that is another matter and you shouldn't have any problems.

How about this 1 bedroom flat?

You can see the exact catchment area on findaschool.info and recreate that shape on rightmove.co.uk draw-a-search feature to see more.

But prh47 is correct - renting a flat temporarily within catchment area is a fast track to having no school place at all and potentially getting prosecuted for attempted fraud. Renting permanently and actually living there in the long term is of course completely fine.

I'd be wary of using 2011 maps too as things change so much year to year. Best to try to get the current distance info from LA.

Meant last years...

Sheen Mount took a bulge class in 2012 (so three class intake instead of two) so distance for 2012 much greater than usual. There is a map showing acceptance places on Richmond council website. But it will be more helpful for you to look at previous years and 2013 (once published).

thanks for reminding, we actually paln to find a right place and live there for quite a few years!

I'd go for within 450m max of the school to be on the safe side.
