Can anyone recommend good schools in South Northamptonshire?

Hello,
In the unlikely chance of anyone living in the area can anyone tell me the names of some good primary or infant schools in south northants? We live in north oxfordshire and the school near us is dire. We are happy to move (rental, so easy to do) ready for next year to be closer to work in south northants if we can find a better school to move near. All the towns and villages round there seem nice so not worried about that. Can anyone recommend any schools in the area?
Ideally we'd like a school that is 'good' or 'outstanding'. That has fairly good sats results. That is very friendly and inclusive. That isn't overly focused on one half of the age group (current school almost completely ignores KS1 in favour of KS2 years in terms of clubs/newsletters/awards etc). That isn't health and safety mad.

Thank you!

Hi we're in South Northamptonshire. Our school is part of a group of 10 feeder schools for Chenderit Secondary School which is outstanding. If you attend one of the feeder schools you do get priority over other "out-of-area children". To my knowledge, in recent years even those few out of area in feeder schools that didn't get places initially did get places at appeal. So, if you pick one of these feeder schools there is a good chance you'll be sorted for secondary too.

I'm pretty sure all these primary schools are rated at least good or outstanding. Some are church schools, and vary in size (altough none are enormous). Schools to look at : Non-church: Chipping Warden, Greatworth, Farthinghoe, Middleton Cheney Primary, Kings Sutton Church: Weedon Lois, Culworth, Boddington, Chacombe and Aston le Walls (Catholic).

Frankly, we were delighted with choice of schools when we moved to this area, they all seem good on paper, we just went for the one in walking distance for us in the end!

I absolutely agree with dilbertina.
May I also suggest avoiding all the schools in Daventry, however some of the surrounding village schools are good. Sounds like you're looking more Banbury-way though.
My little sister attends Chenderit and absolutely loves it. When I worked in the area, all the parents did their utmost to get their kids there.

I've a friend who commutes 12 miles to Middleton Cheney school as she feels it is by far the best around.

Also if you are venturing further north Nicholas Hawksmoor in Towcester is very sought after

Oh and Cropredi is a lovely school in the area. I interviewed there a few yeas ago and was gutted not to get it. Really, really loved the place.
