What are the packed lunches like that the children on FSM receive on trips?

DD1 is away on a trip soon, she is in reception and receives FSM.

The letter says she doesn't need a packed lunch, but I'm concerned that there will not be enough food.

Does anyone know what they contain?

At our place they get a sandwich, some veggie sticks -in a sweaty plastic bag-, a-n uncooked round of pastry- biscuit and a piece of fruit.

The cook keeps trying not to provide a drink as she says her budget doesn't allow for one.....

We order a pack up for all the children on FSM but mostly they bring their own. We share round the food from the FSM pack ups.

DD2, age 7, had a school trip today which was looonng as we are rural - 8.3-5. I packed her: a hot dog, a bag of Quavers, a cheese string, a bag of grapes, a package of sliced carrots and a homemade brownie. Oh, and 700mL of water mixed with fruit tea.

She is very slight for her age and this served her the whole day. She come home with a few carrot slices and ate them.

At DS's school

1 round of sandwich ( 2 slices ) choice of cheese, tuna, marmite or jam
1 bag of crisps
a few carrot sticks
a large cookie type biscuit or flapjack
an apple or banana
A cartoon of squash type drink.

Its exactly the same lunch as a child paying for a school pack lunch will get. so no one even knows which kids are on FSM and which have families who prefer NOT to make pack lunches.
