My daughter's school has just informed us about 2 weeks ago that the school will be closing down. So I am looking for a school for my child. I visited St Martin's school in Mill Hill , its very small. Does anybody have children in this school? I have also visited St Hilda's in Bushey. Your views on these schools would be appreciated.

It is not a selective prep so as long as you are aware of that and they too are transparent about it? Yes I have heard they do prep but most parents also use tutors for 11+. I actually took my child out of the school as felt both other independent and state schools had far better facilities so it really would depend on what you are looking for from the school? From what I've been told and experienced staffing turnover is high, not sure about specialist subject teachers they're foundations seemed strong but you have to work with your child. I think it is Partnership whichever school you select however I felt with St Martin's children unless super bright or really struggling those "in the middle "weren't really challenged or stimuted at least not in the early years but it is the early years where children absorb the most and a love for learning should be fostered
