(We are in France, hence the 'parent going it alone' situation before anyone suggests talking to the teacher).
We were working on which, what, when, why, who words tonight....came to "who" and DD went to pronounce it with the initial /w/ sound, like when, what etc. I said, no, sometimes the sound of "wh" is /h/. Got the Phonics International Chart out....but under /h/ there is just one entry (hat) and no "wh"....
Is it a mistake or I am getting myself tied up in phonics knots?
I would be so grateful if mrz, feenie, maizieD and any other phonics gurus could advise.
