hi, just curious, how does your kids' school communicate with you? is it letters, emails, or just notes in the bookbag?

my DD is in reception, started last Monday and so far we received a welcome package months ago and nothing else. i filled out all the required forms and put my email address there, but there is nothing coming.

thanks

Our school uses Parentmail, we also get leaflets/flyers in the bookbags

There is a newsletter which goes on the website only, unless you request a paper copy (but you do get a text to say a new letter has gone on the website, so that reminds you to read it), this is usually once a fortnight, but occasionally weekly or after 3 weeks.
We get individual letters then about specific trips or clubs or teams (not in Reception, obviously).
In my dc3's Jnr school we get text alerts which are absolutely fab..... reminders about whole school things - say a non uniform day - or specific texts sent to particular groups - eg football practice had to be cancelled to night due to weather.
Then other, genreal information - say the term dates - are on the website, and also on the TV screen thingumee in Reception area (as in office, not first year at school).
