Best CofE or non denominational State Primary Schools in West / South West London??

Well we've just found out that although there are some great schools around where we currently live, we're unfortunately the wrong religion. I.e. Not Catholic

So, we're looking to move and stay in the West London / South West London area. So far we've identified Barnes Primary, hence Barnes as a place to move to but are there any other gems of schools in other areas that we should be looking at? We can't afford Kensington High Street for the schools there (St Mary Abbot / St Philips) but could possibly stretch to other (slightly) cheaper areas.

Any advice??

Forgot to mention we're currently in W11 but out of catchment for Fox Primary, so that's a non starter. We can't afford to move any more centrally than we are.

We also plan to move out of London for secondary, so that's not a consideration for the area we choose. It needs to be an easy commute to Central London as well. Oh, and I'd like the moon on a stick please!

We chose Lowther over Barnes Primary, so personally I would consider that a gem - but it does rather depend what your priorities are, I suppose!

Both the Sheen primaries are also very good, I believe.

Now, moons on sticks....Wink

You don't need to be living within spittin distance of St Mary Abbots or St Barnabus, but of course those attending K&C CofE churchs do get priorities. You don't say whether your religous or not, as there are some 'outstanding' primary schools in the borough. Yes some of those 'outstanding' schools have a high FSM and ESOL intake but you have to ask yourself what environment do you really want for your child? I live in Ladbroke G and know first hand the type of social snobbery inherent in this borough

If you just moved one mile west out to Hammersmith/Shepherds Bush you could look at John Betts or Brackenbury primaries. In Chiswick there is Belmont. The borough of Richmond Upon Thames has a long list of highly regarded primaries = most of them. Very highly sought after ones include Collis Primary in Teddington or The Vineyard in Richmond. There are many others in RuT.

Well after spending a glorious day in Barnes we've decided to see if it will be possible to move there, house prices are hideously expensive though.

We're CofE and attend church but I know that St Mary Abbot have changed their criteria and now go on distance from the church rather than attendance/involvement with the church.

Osmium Which schools would you reccomend in the Ladbroke Grove Area out of interest?
