Would anyone be so kind as to level a story for me?

Just as it says in the title, really. My DD has written a story this summer which is a lot better than anything she has ever done at school, mainly because her handwriting is painfully slow, and she is excessively perfectionistic about her spelling. I need to go and see the SEN team about her, specifically because she's underperforming in maths and writing at school, (again, due to speed and perfectionist issues) so I'm currently collecting evidence to support all this.

I can put it up here, but would prefer to pm if anyone would be able to help. It's 2 sides of A4 handwritten, about 1 side typed.

Thank you.

Sorry, can barely remember my age, never mind the age of a Yr 2 kid!

Whatever her level (and us teachers would need to do some proper moderation-what fun, I can't wait to go back tomorrow!), she's doing well so be proud.

This is really good if she is yr2 and they are concerned about it! Im a y5 teacher and would put this at a 3b. To be a higher level you would be looking at things like varied sentence openers and more detailed speech punctuation. Is this is written exactly how you have put it, then I would put it at a 3b, however if her spelling has been altered, bear in mind that spelling plays a big part in levelling too :) you should be really proud of this though :)

This is the real thing, complete with spelling and punctuation mistakes. I would have scanned it if I could! Thanks everyone.

I was back at work today (I teach woodwind) and it was a bit of a shock after such a long break!
