year 2 SATs - what do the results mean

My DD just had the year 2 SATs results and was assessed as a level 3 in Speaking and Listening, a Level 2A in writing and 2A in reading. For maths, she was assessed as a level 3 and the same in science.

What do the levels actually mean? Is she below/average/above. Thanks.

My DD's school didn't tell us what the sublevels meant, we were told the overall grade but had to go in and ask for a break down, and there was a big difference to what I thought she had got and what she had got re:sub levels.

..as I had no idea what any of it meant as she is my pfb, not every school is the same. I can brag if you'd like Grin

Y2 SATS results are directly linked to MI5 and MI6. They hold them in a database, match them to the Y6 results and decide whether to recruit your children as junior agents. Anyone who scores a 3 is at risk of being hothoused through subliminal messages on the internet every time they log in.

FallenCaryatid, you just made me snort tea. And not for the first time, I might add.
