Should I move DS2 to same school as DS1?

I moved DS1 (currently year 3) to a neighbouring school this school year after a series of problems at the local school. He has fitted in very well and appears to be thriving at the new school. I now have the opportunity to move his younger brother (currently reception) from September. He has enjoyed his first year at school, made some lovely friends and is doing well academically. If it weren't for his brother being at a different school this question would not be coming up.....yet.

It depends if the problems your older child had relate to a particular person or year group? If they relate to the school in general or how the school dealt with the problems, I would move your youngest.

Move him.

A good reception year means he'll be confident and happy with a change.

As brothers they can support each other and share more memories if they are at the same school.

As a mum you'll have an easier time of juggling.

Thanks for your comments. The problems related to the way the school handled the issues my son and many of the children in his class were having. His new school has an ethos of kindness - it's a much smaller school. DS2 is a very different character and unlikely to encounter the same kinds of problems DS1 has but maybe other problems. If only I had a crystal ball.
