Would you expect school to tell you if your child was walking out of class?

If they had to go to a different class at wet play because kids in their class were annoying them?

And if so, how often would this need to happen and how would you expect to be told?

I'm assuming a ks2 child but the first time it happened I'd expect to hear about it on the day. I'd hope that the school was worried about my child's mental state at the time- fear?anger?anxiety? and want to ask me if anything had happened at home or let me know what had happened at school that day as we are supposed to be working together. If it had happened more than once then I'd expect the school to come up with a

If it had happened more than once then I'd expect the school to come up with a plan of action including any support they needed from me. I'd expect my child's behaviour to be escalated to Senco/head or other people.

Second question- I'd expect to be told. Surely school would want to know if there was history with the people doing the teasing or what the topic of the teasing? I'd want to know what punishment the teasers got and how it would be stopped the next day.

In reality I know it doesn't work like that but the younger the child s the more likely it is that you'd hear about it. I know a child who escapes from the school grounds and runs home once a month or so. When he was in ks1 it was taken more seriously but in juniors the teachers and other children roll their eyes and school calls father to tell them that their son has escaped.

Thanks.

He is in Y3.

I'm not sure if these incidents are happening or not. He's told me that during wet play and golden time he's had to go to another class. He's also told me he walks out of class or hides because it's too noisy.

But school haven't told me anything, and I don't know if he's telling the truth or not.

Nor do I even know if he's on the SEN register or not.
