Where can I find measurable results for prep schools please. I can find league tables for state schools and gcse results for senior or inde schools but nothing for prep where the children leave at the end of Y8.

Help please x

Each school website usually has a list of schools that their pupils have gone onto the previous year/s and how many scholarships they have been awarded.
There is not a prep school table as for example not all prep schools do KS2 SATS and the CE exams are marked by individual schools and not centrally.

yes, leaver's destinations is the best way to judge (although you have to look carefully at what are 'offers' because presumably the brightest children get three or four offers, and they are the same children but just appear under different school destinations IYSWIM)

Being independent means they are independent of league tables too. Smile

Local reputation counts for a lot where I live, (but is not infallible, as I have found that what I am looking for in a school isn't necessarily what other folk want), leavers destinations, scholarships awarded to those destinations and what for should give you a good idea.

As diabolio says different people want different things and that are not all necessarily academic or easily measurable. First of all I found I needed to work out what I wanted and then make my investigations based on this. It is not always the same for all the children in one family.
