What comes after Songbird phonic type books?

In addition to school reading and library books, dd has really enjoyed the Songbird phonics. I have too - they lift the spirits after Biff et al.

She's coming to the end of level 6 and I was wondering if there is a series of books to follow or what others would recommend.

TIA

I was wondering exactly the same.

What else is she reading?

Random books from the library - ORT, Tadpoles etc. She likes fairy tales and stories about ordinary things - not particularly interested in fairies and the like.

She's perfectly capable of reading Dr Seuss, the Happy Families series though doesn't yet have the stamina to read for a long time.

Have you tried the Ladybird Read it Yourself series? DS liked these. He then made life easy for me by getting excited by the Magic Key ORT adventures Grin. I'm just about to get the Happy Families from the library as also trying to broaden his horizons! We have also done some Rigby Star books from their reading scheme which went down quite well.

Oh yes, someone recommended Farmyard Tales series- I think they sound a bit easy for DS now, but might suit your DD?

I really like the Happy Families books - they've got a bit more of an edge to ones written today.

The Farmyard Tales ones look a bit easy - I'll have a look in the library though she's more interested in stories about people.

Thanks
