Oh no I've mortally injured the class bear

It was filthy. If class bears got fleas and lice it would have been crawling.

I put it through the wash and its come out with a big split and its stuffing is coming out. I've tried sewing but its not working the fabrics not holding

Its due back in the morning.......30 children are going to hate me. DD is already in mourning

Help........... please

I am off the hook. I asked for a little chat with DDs teacher this morning and confessed all ( I think she thought it was funny)

It seems the poor old bear was in line for retirement at the end of this term anyway. They were going to tell the children he's been sent for a rest at the home for old bears where they all get a jar of honey and a fish for tea every day and passed on the job to another younger bear who can keep up with their busy lives (they have already ordered it). They are now going to add to the tale that he's off to hospital first for a little operation before his well deserved convalescence and retirement

DD would not let me near him again - she had a screaming fit this morning because I tried to take him by the paw but the TA was able to gently persuade her to give him up and promised to patch him up herself - I love DD's teacher and TA.

DD though is still saying she's going to tell all her friends I killed Mr. Paws. Oh dear the shame :(

I bet more than a few parents would be Pleaded to hear the bear is retiring, but probably not a me one is on its way!!
