Hi,
I'm thinking about buying a house in Leeds after renting forever. I have a little girl that is 15 months. I don't know Leeds so I'm trying to find an area that would be safe with a good primary school and nursery from which I could commute City Centre and Seacroft as that is where me and my partner work.
Can anyone advice if Morley would be a good place to live? (we have seen to houses there one on Beacon Grove ls27and and one more Newlands Drive ls27 but do not know the area at all!
Could anyone recommend anywhere else if not Morley? I'm starting to wonder if it's worth the effort as I seem to be spending most of my maternity leave going to interviews and researching new ares . HELP!!

I work in Beeston and DP works Churwell, both right next door to Morley. Lots of our colleagues live in the local areas. Having asked around, it seems to be that Morley has gone downhill recently, but that surrounding areas (Beeston, Middleton) have got a bit better.
On the other hand, how about areas like East Ardsley or Outwood? Much nicer Smile

If you work in Seacroft, I would suggest looking at Barwick-in-Elmet, Scholes, Shadwell, Roundhay, I would avoid Morley personally.

Chapel Allerton area? What about Garforth - further out, but not too far?

I was along about this recently and was told that tingley is a nice area with a very good primary school? I think that is the same sort of area as Morley, but could be wrong!!
