Primary Schools LB Greenwich/Bexley help! (and Supplementary Information Form questions)

We are in the process of submitting primary school applications for Sept 2012. We are looking at schools in the borough of Greenwich and Bexley does anyone have any schools they are happy with in this area. I've had a look at loads and they all seem much of a muchness. People keep telling me to go on "feel" but I like bits of all of them and dislike bits of all of them!
Also is it worth applying for a church school if we are not church attendees? One of the schools near us is a voluntary aided church school and although we are Christians we are not practising ones?
thanks!

You need to check the entrance criteria for the church school. IME most of the LB Greenwich/Bexley border ones are oversubscribed, especially the two in Eltham, Roper St C of E and St Mary's RC. So both of those will take mainly children whose families can provide a clergy reference.
I can't really talk as both mine in the end attended a small private primary (but NOT because we didn't like any of our immediate local state options).
We know various families who are very happy with Wyborne, Days Lane, Longlands, Holy Trinity Lamorbey and Birkbeck if that helps at all. I know people who teach at Dulverton and Wyborne.
All of the schools I have mentioned are popular and reliably good.

Deansfield, Gordons, Roper St all v good, massively oversubscribed though, unless you live on the doorstep its unlikely you'll get in.

DS goes to CofE Christchurch on Shooters Hill, its lovely, I am really happy with it- he got in on distance- dont find the religion aspect a problem, personally.

I think its going to depend on your location, most ppl I know got into their nearest. Where are you based, roughly?

There is a huge birthrate spike in this area. I honestly think your options are now reduced down to your nearest, in Sidcup this is still no guarantee of place.
All sidcup schools except royal park and sherwood park were full this year with more applicants than places.
I expect the eltham ones were same.
