Do you have a John Lewis or Peter Johns near you?

They have these labels for £1.20

I get mine from 'stuck on you'.

yes 'stuck on you' stuff is good. The plastic tags are great, dinosaurs , fairies etc. Put them on lunch box so DC can easily find them amongst many!

I love Easy2Name . I also use their labels at work and the stick ones even survive on equipment going through a full cycle of a medical autoclave. They do several different starter packs depending on what you are looking for.
They are also lovely ladies who when I entered the nightmare world of externally named PE kit offered me several options to choose from.
This year I have bought the Fab and Funky labels for the first time to label the vast number of stationary items she has.

We also use Easy2name. The only point I have, you have to be very precise with the ironing-in instructions. The first set got loose in the washing machine as I didn't do it properly enough.

The stick-on labels survive the dishwasher without any problems and I love the shoe covers.

We just bought iron-on and sticker labels plus some shoe covers. That was actually cheaper than the starter kits as I found that I needed a lot more labels than originally thought. Def. worth doing a calculation.

try stikins from namelabels.com. sticky labels for both clothes and shoes/lunchboxes. No ironing involved, last through loads of washing and don't itch.
