Umm talk to her teacher about things you could do with her

have a look at the 11 + threads about what people do - but personally I would say things like kumon etc are expensive and very much one size fits all

My dd started using maths whizz in y2 as she needed more confidence in her maths. I paid for a month first and now pay annually. She probably only uses it twice a month now but it helps to reinforce what she learns at school and as she doesn't have a TA now (y3) I think it is worth the money.

DS1 is in Y4 and uses MathsWhizz. We signed him up for a year's sub in July. He really struggles with maths, but since July his maths age has increased by a year and a half already. He does work hard on it though - at least 90 mins a week.

We also signed up DS2 to MathsWhizz - he is Y1 and very mathematically able. The school don't push maths so we wanted him to have something he could chew on at home. So, he has it for different reasons to DS1, and just does a little session on it every now and then.

I think it is worth it as long as you stick to a regular programme. Keep a close eye on the progress reports and it will easily show you which areas your DD struggles with and which ones she is racing ahead on.

Well, to get full advice on your child specifically and the 11+ then I'd say get an experienced tutor. (Though as I am one, I guess I would say that Grin ). They will know about the 11+ requirements for your area. These will not just be maths and English but verbal and/or non-verbal reasoning as well. They will know the kind of levels your dd will need to achieve too. you could also try www.11plus.co.uk/ for loads of advice and support on how to take a more DIY approach.

As I understand it Kumon mainly covers the more arithmetic areas of maths which wouldn't be enough for 11+.
