DS1 started full-time on Monday, aged just 4 and 4 days. Having worried for so long he wouldn't even be ready, I had progressed merely to hoping he would cope, I have been amazed.

He is totally thriving-coming out of school full of beans and really happy, telling me more about one day at school than years at nursery, slagging my school off as not as good and demanding we go by his when out walking, basically totally over-the-moon about it.

I may be the parent he wishes to escape, or just have a freaky kid, but whatever his teacher and TA have done has been amazing-from communicating with us to all they do for him. Sure many Reception teachers doing the same, just wanted to say ta.

I'd like to thank my DSs Y6 teacher.

I'm very impressed with her. She is getting great work out of DS, and he is doing better than he ever has before.

Thanks

I'd like to thank my DDs yr 6 teacher, DD was worried as she didn't like her last year, has proved her wrong so far this year. Also my DS yr 4 teacher as DS says she is the coolest teacher in the world and the good old yr 3 teacher who now has DS2 as he is as dependable as ever :)

As for the reception teacher, well done on controlling them all, helping them settle in but apparently my poor little DD is the only one not to have had a sticker this week, so she is either very naughty or has been overlooked (hope it is the latter suspect it is the first)Blush

Our reception teacher and TA looked shellshocked on Friday as we picked the kids up: they had just done their first PE session. The staff were ushering the children out of the building, both of them looking shaky and pale. Teacher was heard to use the words nightmare, in relation to class of new children getting changed for the first time.

I felt like nipping to Tesco for a bottle of gin there and then :)

I have the most amazing teacher for my child Mrs Keatley and I have recently nominated her for the Thank a Teacher awards! I'm not one for spending lots on a thank you present at the end of each term but I think actually the fact she would get a card to say she has been nominated is much better than a mug anyway www.teachingawards.com/home?gclid=CNjB2tnFqawCFcwhtAodIHsx1A

Great way to say thank you I think!
