I hear from other parents at school that my DD will be expected to read these next year. Could anyone tell me what they think of them?

She's just 7, in the French equivalent of Y3!

oh Confused

She's gone to class with her half-read Matilda this morning, and hopes her teacher will let her read that instead...

She would probably find the All Stars fun but not particularly challenging

DS1 is in Y1 and reads treetops sometimes and has liked the stories. Only read white and lime ones, not the harder ones aimed at juniors.

Actually she finds the Tree Tops All Stars deathly dull as well as very easy. She is racing through Matilda, however, and already talking about reading The Witches.

I can, however, fully imagine that the Tree Tops All Stars would be appropriate for very able YR readers!
