Wallace fields is as the 1st responce said oversubscribed and no guarenty to get into juniour school. We had our oldest dd go through the Infant school there and the juniour until year 5 where we moved. we were satisfied with the infant and liked the juniour school for her. our dd2 however we moved out of the Infant school at year 1 she was failing to thrieve and to put it bluntly I certainly found out how they keep their high sats levels they squeeze out the kids whom do not manage to preform to their standards. It was a horrific time for our dd2 and I do not truly feel that she has ever recovered from it. I will also state this is why I sing the praises of Kingswoodhouse (private for boys after year 3 ) on another thread they undid what damage to be bluntly Wallace fields did.
I have a friend whose children went to Cuddington croft overall she is happy but she speaks of pressure for her 2 dd whom went there (one still there until end of this year then will go to 2ndary) and she never felt that the school really bothered to get to know either of her dd's whom both are quiet well preforming girls (so no trouble in classes)
I only know Epsom primary by repuration and it is not wonderous have you considered Ewell Castle? I know it is only a infant but I also knowmany whom have been very happy with the school. Had we remained in Epsom we would have send our dd3 to Ewell Castle (and we lived 500 yards from Wallace Fields)
I know this doesnt paint a wonderful picture of the infant school I will say that the main cause of our issues happened whilst the head was on materinty leave and I do wonder if it would have been handled in the same way had she not been. the 3 years our dd1 was at the school we were happy and I was heavilly involved with their PTA. I really however lost all faith in the school during my dealings with dd2. We were very happy witht eh junior school the head is wonderful fair and doesnt tend to get rattled easilly (important for that sort of job imo)
If we still lived in Epsom I would as I said have gone for Ewell Castle and then applied for WF Junior school after infant years.
Do you live down near Sainsburys btw since you call yourself inbetween the catchment areas? I know that can be a complex area to get into WF from if thats the case. (and you dont have to answer that i was just nosey)
I still have friends whom have continued to put their kids to WF and been happy with it and if your child doesnt have any learning disorders (my dd2 is seveerely dyslexic) then I am sure you will find the school friendly and welcoming and happy with it.
I hope this helps you in deciding.
