Is there a site that shows you the comparisons between different reading schemes?

As in the ORT equivalent of Ginn or Reading corner?

Specifically I am wondering what the equivalent is for those Reading Corner Phonics books are that you get from the library.

Thanks!

I use readingchest to compare - they have Ginn and ORT and others, but don't know about reading corner

Ok thanks. Interesting that the reading ages differ from the ORT site. Hmmm.

Why do you need to know? You cannot, in any case compare 'phonic' books with ORT or similar because they are written for a completely different purpose. ORT were written in order to din words into children's heads through constant repetition while 'phonic' books are written to support practice in decoding and blending.

Reading ages are a completely artificial construct - if your child is reading confidently, is able to work out unfamiliar words just about independently, reads anything which has words on it and is working steadily through the school's reading scheme just let them read anything they want to - don't restrict their home reading to 'book bands' or whatever.

I dont need to know, I was just wondering :)

My son reads loads of books - atm it is scooby doo that he loves best - but he likes these as well. They seem a lot harder than what he is bringing home from school, so was wondering where they fit in terms of levels as this is an ongoing issue with school.

Normally he just reads what is sent home and then goes onto whatever his flavour of the moment is. Which is fine. Happy that he is reading and has a love for it!!

Was just wondering, really! Seeing if school was holding him back at all?

This might help a bit:
