Help with Reception PE lessons please!!

Would really appreciate some tips from any teachers out there who can give me some
Tips on behaviour management in PE lessons with reception children.

I am in the hall with 30 of them on my own and i could really do with some tips as they are not very good at listening in the hall!

I have some pairs who prob should not be paired together but i don't have the option of not taking them in if you see what i mean!!

I'm afraid I'm of the if they don't listen they go back to the class method. From a basic safety point it can be dangerous using PE equipment when children don't listen.
Endure they enter the hall quietly and sit down quietly. Explain the rules and why it is important they listen - danger. Also explain that if they don't listen you will have to stop to keep them safe.
Play games that require them to listen such as the Beans game or the Video game.

I would like to threaten with they'd go back to class but don't want to punish those that are listening as atlesst 15 do what i ask first time.

We haven't used any equiptment they have to climb on etc Mrz, so in terms of safety they are not in danger of hurting themselves while using equipment etc.

Like the idea of stations pixi, will try that next week :)

It doesn't have to be equipment they climb on bluebells. It could be trip over a floor mat or bump into another child or hit by a piece of small equipment such as a ball or beanbag.

I know one child (not my school) who had a broken collar bone because another child knocked him over while running madly in the hall.

O dear that doesn't sound good mrz!

I think i have made you think they are worse than they are! Usually worst when coming into hall but once quiet they are generally fine as they sit out for a time if they can't behave!

Just wondered what others did that worked best
